Great Stereo HEadset

I brought this after a disatser with the i.tech clip m.

This product however was easy to connect, and the quality is great with my HTC TyTn.

The controls allow you to change track etc. Also included is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack lead to connect to speakers and different sized earbuds
Great Headset

The Pulsar 260 is just great. Sound quality is pretty good (a bit lacking on the bass). I get good quality music and voice when using it with my T-Mobile G1. I get a range of about 3 metres (supposedly Bluetooth should have a range of 10m, but I don't get that). It works pretty well outdoors. Battery lasts for about 8-hours of use after a full re-charge (this is more than I can say for my G1!).

The only downside is that there are too many wires. It is bulkier than my ipod shuffle. But that's not a deal breaker.
Fine

Another reviewer describes the sound quality as "shocking". I suspect the problem lies with his phone's implementation of bluetooth profiles because it's just fine with my G1. Other plus points are the excellent battery life and the nice simple interface. The range is fine too - slightly better than other bt headphones I've used, even in environments with a lot of EM noise.

On the negative side, the buttons are too easy to press by accident and there's no way to lock them. This isn't a problem if you clip the receiver to your clothing, but it can be annoying if you want to carry it in your pocket.
Why, oh why the non-standard headphone socket?

Ok, first a confession. I have bought about 15 bluetooth headsets over the last few years - I tend to either lose them or get bored with them regularly! My quest for the perfect bluetooth headset continues, however.

The sound from this headset is reasonable, but not great for listening to music. Conversation sound quality is only ok also. The unit is a reasonable size, and the headphones fit fine - however, they certainly couldn't be accused of looking "cool" or "trendy".

So, on to my biggest problem. I wanted to use the unit with my own headphones and also portable speakers. But Plantronics, in their infinite wisdom, have used a 2.5mm stereo socket on the main unit. Thus, you can't use it with your own headphones? Why, oh why, did you do this Plantronics?
Take phone calls OK but shocking sound quality

OK so you can take phone calls with this and understand and be understood. Pairing is easy too but don't look for anything like HIFI. Base is OK ish but mid rage is very poor and hi notes "lisp". The whole thing sounds like you have cotton wool in your ears. Volume is week too
I think you would find better sound quality from a toy at McD's
