The cable gave a good connection between the firewire 800 port, on my computer, and my external hard drive. So, it worked well and as expected. It was, also, well packaged with just the right amount of padding and as such was able to be put through my letterbox without me having to be around to receive it.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Make sure that you need the 9 to 6 cable - i've had this for a few weeks now and haven't had any problems. Working great to connect my old hard drive to my new laptop.

Does just what it says and seems to be good quality. I didn't know before I saw the listing that cables were available with 400 on one end and 800 on the other, so there's a small but valuable saving in clutter and increase in reliability available (over using an adaptor) if you have, for instance, a new Mac with older peripherals.

Wanted this for data transfer from old iMac to new one. No problems with it and a lot cheaper than some alternatives
