Need to connect Digital to Digital?



This cable is just the thing! Don't be baffled by the blurb - that's
just for the teccies. All you need to know is that this will magically
connect DVI to DVI. The cable plugs on to a standard DVI graphics card
one end (19 pin plus horizontal spade on port) and the other end is an
identical DVI male to plug straight into a DVI enabled monitor / TFT /
LCD Screen or similar DVI enabled product. Please note that the missing
pins from the middle are not necessary for a straight DVI to DVI
connection so this is normal.



It is also known as a DVI-D to DVI-D Connection. More information on DVI
DVI is a new form of video interface technology made to maximize the
quality of flat panel LCD monitors and high- end video graphics cards.
It is a replacement for the P&D Plug & Display standard, and a step up
from the digital-only DFP format for older flat panels. DVI cables are
becoming increasingly popular with video card manufacturers, and most
cards purchased include both a VGA and a DVI output port.



The DVI specification defines a digital interface for use between a
computing device and a display device. It offers the benefits of digital
video with no analogue signal you are guaranteed a high quality
connection. The cable listed here offers a true DVI digital connection
both sides. The pins and sockets have gone high-tech, instead of the
standard cylindrical pins found on familiar connectors, the DVI pins are
flattened and twisted to create a Low Force Helix (LFH) contact.

Excellent cable for the price

Cable is as pictured i.e. single link type, not dual. Example I received is excellent quality, ex-Dell stock from the supplier I bought it from apparently. No reason to dispute this (thankfully), delivers pure digital picture via DVI connection just as it should, and length of 2 metres is great for the price. Definitely recommend as an alternative to the more expensive branded cables available from Amazon, which this one makes not such good value in comparison.

works well as i've tested it on pc downstairs sadly i realised my tv didn't have DVI which is why i brought it but it aint the cables fault.
great well priced cable very recommened

As other reviewers have said, it was a Dell labelled cable that arrived. I have a Dell screen and so the instructions enclosed about switching inputs on the screen were also applicable and helpful, and it works absolutely fine, though cannot see any difference in quality of image, but then it was already outstanding, but it cured the problem of occassional colour shifts which meant I had to wiggle the standard cable to clear. So fantastic value and highly recommended.

This turned out to be the correct item to connect directly to my LCD monitor from desktop PC video card.
